Do I need to use QuickBooks Online?

Yes, all of our monthly bookkeeping clients use QuickBooks Online. If you're currently using a different program, such as Simply Accounting, we can help you migrate. QuickBooks Online is cloud-based, affordable, and designed specifically for small business owners, making collaboration seamless and giving you online access to your financial records anytime.

What if I'm behind on my bookkeeping?

No problem! If you've fallen behind, we offer a separate Catch-Up service to get your books current before starting monthly bookkeeping services. We'll work through your backlog, organize all your receipts and transactions, update your general ledger, and get everything organized so we can move forward together. This ensures accurate financial records for tax season and helps you avoid missing CRA deadlines.

How much time will I need to spend on bookkeeping each month?

Very little! Once we're set up, your main responsibility is uploading receipts to my receipt management app as you go - you can just snap photos of receipts on the go or forward them from your email (which takes just seconds). We handle everything else, saving you time and long hours of work. You'll review your monthly financial statements and financial snapshot when they're ready, but the heavy lifting is done by our professional bookkeeper team, making life easier for you as a business owner.

How much control will I have over the process?

As much or as little as you want! We can customize your service to give you as much or as little interaction with your books as you like. Some clients never want to log in to QuickBooks, while others may want to do their own invoicing and have us do the rest. We can develop a service to your unique needs and comfort level.

Can I add or remove add-on services later?

Absolutely. Our services are flexible. As your small business grows and your business needs change, we can easily adjust your service package. You might start with basic bookkeeping and add payroll services (including payroll processing and Worksafe/WCB filing) or accounts payable management (including bill payment through our third-party processing system) later.
